Between our FCC accreditation visits, to further promote our Catholic schools’ mission, we are evaluated using the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools. during a Third Year Progress Appraisal (TYPA) conducted by representatives from the Office of Catholic Schools

Lastly, our qualifying teachers are certified through the Florida Department of Education.

FACULTY AND STAFF

At Sacred Heart Catholic School, our caring faculty and staff embody nurturing care, unwavering faith, and a genuine passion for education. They understand and support their students as individuals, guiding them through their educational journey and inspiring them to grow in all aspects of life. Plus, through varies teaching approaches, they make learning fun. They are role models of our faith as they ensure that every child who comes through their classroom door feels valued and empowered to succeed.

SAFE AND SECURE

We believe children deserve a safe and secure environment in order to thrive, which is why we've gone the extra mile to provide a secure campus.

We are a closed campus. All visitors must sign in at the office and provide a driver’s license identification. They are screened through our Raptor system against the National Sexual Predator database and are issued a colored lanyard that indicates their purpose on campus. All staff, visitors, volunteers, and contractors must wear a lanyard while on school grounds.

Additionally, for extra safety, we partner with the New Smyrna Beach Police Department and have a School Safety Officer on campus during the school day.

In the classrooms, students are welcomed and nurtured by a caring faculty and staff, and are taught to care for and respect each other.

Our parents can be confident in knowing their child is being taken care of, being valued, and being loved as an individual and as a child of God.
